See it, take it
Lights come up across the board and fade on a clock. Reach the right one in time and the score moves.
Light Tap
A neon arcade game of reaction, focus and progression. Build combos, read the traps, and push a score you keep wanting to beat.
Free to play, with one optional purchase that removes advertising.
How it plays
One tap is all the game asks of you. Timing, traps, combos and memory are what make it hard.
Lights come up across the board and fade on a clock. Reach the right one in time and the score moves.
Traps look like every other cell until you read the colour. Touching one costs a heart.
Every clean tap builds momentum and makes the next one count for more. One mistake breaks the run.
Modes
Each mode changes what the pressure is made of — the clock, your hearts, another player, or your own memory.
Tap the lit cells, leave the traps. Points, combos and rising pressure in one short, self-contained run.
Adaptive difficulty. The game reads your reaction speed and tunes itself to it, and keeps its own separate ranking.
Endless waves that get faster and smarter. Three hearts, plus rare lights — Golden Heart, Combo Shield, Slow-Mo, Double Points — to hold on with.
Nothing counting down. The clock counts up, your duration is kept alongside your score, and you stop when you decide to.
A live one-on-one match through Game Center. Both players get the same lights from the same seed; the higher score wins.
Watch a sequence, then replay it from memory. One try per level, up to three stars, and a long campaign behind it.
Challenge
Challenge is where Light Tap stops being a single run. Five blocks of ninety levels, three stars to earn on each, Master Quest bosses along the way, the Last Quest at the end, and 150 bonus levels after that.
Quest blocks worked through in order, each closing on a boss level.
Up to three stars a level for faster, cleaner plays. Master Quest bosses carry the largest XP rewards, and trophies and leaderboards run through Game Center — optional, and the game is fully playable without signing in.
Progress is saved automatically and synchronised through your own Apple account with iCloud. Light Tap runs no servers of its own, so nothing is stored with the developer.
Feel
Animation, sound and haptics land together, so a hit reads instantly and a miss is unmistakable.
Stars, XP, ranks and trophies give you a reason to keep going after the score screen.
Reduce Motion, Reduce Flashing and Energy Saver calm the presentation and ease the load on the battery.
The deal
Light Tap is free to play and carries advertising, shown as banners and as full-screen interstitials between rounds. Every mode and every level is in the free version.
One optional purchase removes the advertising permanently. It is a single payment, not a subscription, and Apple handles it through the App Store — no payment details ever reach the developer.
Light Tap is built on lights that appear, change and fade quickly. These effects may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy or other sensitivities to flashing light.
If you feel unwell, disoriented or uncomfortable while playing, stop and rest. There is more on accessibility and comfort settings on the support page.
Download
Light Tap is being finished for iPhone and iPad. It is not on the App Store yet — this page will carry the link the day it is.
Free with advertising. One optional purchase removes it.
